Claussen is long, athletic and runs the floor well for a big man. He uses his footwork down low to create passing lanes and has multiple post moves to create a high percentage shot. Claussen can keep bigs on the perimeter as he is a threat to knock down a shot from beyond the arc. His anticipation is a top notch allowing him to jump passing lanes and block shots. After a strong summer, Claussen had multiple offers before committing to Washburn University. He will be the next big man to keep the Bluejays in title contention.
Highlights
Brock Rahl
Brock Rahl
https://twitter.com/BrockRahlrnA scrappy guard, Rahl led the team in assists and steals while finishing second in the team in points and rebounds. Rahl was a sparkplug for the Monarchs last season and will be an offensive factor with the Monarchs top scorer graduating. Rahl can score at all three levels but thrives on rebounds or turnovers by pushing the pace and driving to the basket. Rahl is not afraid of contact and often initiates it. Rahl received his first offer from a Community College and should receive plenty more attention as the season progresses.
Moore is a talented offensive guard that has played in a crowded backcourt the last couple of years. With some player movement from transfers, Moore will be a focal point on offense for the Knights this season. Moore has the full bag with a fantastic jump shot that can be lethal from midrange or long distance. He has strong handles that allows him to create his own shot or to create an open shot for a teammate. Moore will assert himself into one the top guards in the state conversation come spring.
The Rockets were gutted with many of their top players from last year graduating. Cruse will emerge as a top up and coming talent this winter. He had a strong summer on the 3SSB tour, and his game grew as much as his confidence. Cruse can score at all three levels and is a fantastic defender, creating turnovers and fast break opportunities. Keep an eye on Cruse hearing into next summer as a hot prospect from the Lincoln area, similar to Frager this year.
