Over the weekend, he really flashed with his positional size — well-built and strong on the wing, willing to mix it up inside, and capable of competing on the perimeter. Defensively, he showed he can be an interchangeable piece, defending multiple positions while consistently finishing possessions with his pursuit of the basketball on the glass.   JaKeyce is also dynamic offensively when he's aggressive, getting his shoulders square downhill as a driver, playing through contact, and proving to be more than reliable as a catch-and-shoot threat from deep. He plays with a calmness and steadiness that stands out, always seeming to be around the basketball and making the right play. Fowler's impressive two-way performance in Kansas City earned him an offer from Saint Mary over the weekend.   Makai Fisher | 6'0" Guard | VWBA Elite   Physical and imposing as a two-way guard, Fisher can really shoot the basketball, especially off the catch. Needing very little space, he gets into his stroke from a number of different actions and is always ready to fire when the ball finds him. Makai can also slash to the rim, but he does so with great purpose, consistently making the right basketball play — whether it's finishing at the basket or using his vision to create for others.   He was one of the more impressive players to watch at the Sunflower Showcase because of how naturally he operated off the ball. Everything seemed to flow within the offense, and his impact on the game never felt forced.   Drew Patin | 6'8" Forward | [program_tooltip program_id='3595841' first='Midwest' last='Roots']   Patin was a name that showed a lot of potential as a legitimate 6-foot-8 forward with the ability to stretch the floor and play comfortably on the perimeter. A more than capable shooter, Drew also looked comfortable in transition, running the floor with or without the basketball while putting pressure on the rim. You saw flashes of him finishing above the rim and using his length and athleticism to cover a lot of ground.   Defensively, his timing around the basket was also impressive, as he consistently turned away shots and provided another long body capable of covering up mistakes. With his size, mobility, and ability to impact both ends of the floor, Patin looks like a name with plenty of upside in Nebraska's 2028 class.   Tyson Smith | 5'8" Guard | Prolific Elite   An undersized but tough guard, Smith played with a chip on his shoulder throughout the weekend. Whether operating on or off the ball, he showed a versatile offensive game built around a quick first step and the ability to get primary defenders off balance. He darted in and out of gaps, getting to the rim where he was able to hang in the air and finish around bigger defenders.   Tyson's vision also stood out, as he consistently got teammates involved by collapsing defenses and spraying the ball out to open shooters. He also proved he could knock down shots from long range as a catch-and-shoot threat, doing a good job of finding space and staying aggressive when the ball found his hands. He might be the most unique piece on a loaded VWBA Elite squad that has depth at nearly every position. Kadence has the skill to play on the perimeter, but his size and length also allow him to be effective in the painted area and as a strong finisher at the rim.   Over the weekend, he was at his best in transition, generating steals and deflections before getting out and running the floor, where he consistently finished through contact. McClure also has a great feel for finding space — whether drifting into open areas or rolling to the rim in different actions. He creates scoring opportunities for himself on a regular basis and plays exceptionally well without the basketball. His passing and vision shouldn't be overlooked either, as he showed a strong feel for the game and consistently made the right reads when the floor shrank.
