Dereon has the potential to be a dangerous guard at Burnsville. As just a sophomore he already leads the team in scoring, and it’s easy to see why. He has a shifty handle and knows how to change his speed to create separation from his defender. Multiple times I saw him just go at his man and get to whatever spot he wanted to. He’s quick enough to get to the basket to finish inside, or can stop on a dime for a mid-range jumper. Dereon is averaging 13.9 ppg this season with three 20+ point performances.
