was Aurora Central’s second-leading scorer last season, averaging just south of 14 PPG, 3.2 APG, and 2.4 SPG. The 6’5 forward can easily swing up to the guard spot when needed, taking care of the ball while making concise passes with incredible IQ. Currently ranked as the 8th best forward in his class, Davis Jr. looks to prove to everyone why he’s among the elites in the box state. Able to gain a step on his matchup and create space efficiently, there’s truly no limit to how far Davis Jr. can take his game.

Davis Jr. showed just how impactful he can be, even with nine points on the stat sheet. It was the ease and confidence he played with that stood out. His size created constant problems, as he repeatedly got to the rim, using his strength and leverage to finish through contact. On the defensive end he made his presence felt with a couple of key blocks and secured big rebounds in traffic. His all around impact went far beyond the numbers

Aurora Central will lean heavily on Davis Jr. in Round 1. At 6’5”, he’s been a matchup nightmare all season with his length and wingspan disrupting everything defensively. Averaging 14.1 points and 9.3 rebounds with 10 double digit rebounding games, he controls the glass and creates second chance opportunities. He runs the floor, plays above the rim, and brings energy that shifts momentum quickly. If he establishes himself early inside and in transition, Aurora Central becomes a tough team to knock out

Davis is a prospect who had a solid sophomore campaign and has upped his numbers in every category, which is a testament to the work that he’s put in over the summer. He’s had a few explosive games to start the year, where he looked unstoppable. He’s big, athletic, and uses that physicality to his advantage; now it is about doing that consistently. He’s up to 12.5 points and 7 boards a game. The thing is, he could do even more, and I expect him to elevate his game in the second half of the season. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on and we hope to see more of.

Davis has all the tools with size, athleticism, and leadership to be a riser this year. He averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds last season, which was amongst the tops in his class. But this event is about proving it in big moments against top competition. He plays with energy, finishes through contact, and can take over when locked in. A strong showing here could push him firmly up the rankings and set the tone for a breakout junior season. I feel that he would greatly benefit here. We hope to see him here.

Davis is a 6’3 athletic forward who plays bigger than his size, serving as his team’s leader and captain despite heading into his junior season. As a sophomore, he averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, which should have him ranked higher than he is; the production is there. But we want to see it shine in big moments. Against the better teams and to prove it during grassroots and at our showcases and similar events. He’s a high-energy player who finishes through contact, throws down transition dunks, and creates his shot. He’s on the “prove-it” list this season, but has real breakout potential, and with another big year, can certainly rise in the rankings.

Davis has developed his ball skills, allowing him greater scoring opportunities around the rim thanks to his physical tools. Adept bumping opponents around on straight line drives, he is already among the stronger names in this class, bringing much more upside than the vast majority of backcourt names in this class. Defensively, Davis can slide in between many positions on the defensive end, particularly at the 5A level. Even slotting in the frontcourt positions from time to time, he holds his own versus bigger scoring wings and forwards when needed.

Davis has been an excellent downhill scorer and all around rebounder for Aurora Central, bringing a wiry frame to capitalize on those opportunities. Posting 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, the wing has repeatedly challenged opposing defenses in transition and the halfcourt, maximizing his opportunities down low. At his best with a head of steam, there are not many names in this class with his physical tools at this stage.

Bringing upside on the wing with his shotmaking abilities off the bounce, Davis has a shot to be a real difference maker in the coming years. Already a versatile defender throughout bigger guards and some forwards, Davis has the length to compete against those matchups.
