About Daniel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a point guard that can facilitate and score the ball. I can get to the basket and finish with both hands. I can also shoot the midrange and knock down 3 pointers too.I also love to play defense applying on the ball pressure. I also love to get steals either by taken it from the ball handler or reading the passing lanes as well.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong mentality I am confident when I am on the court. I am a leader and I know my teammates feed off my energy so I have to bring the energy every game. My personality I like to have fun with my peers. I enjoy talking, dancing, and making other people laugh.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved at my church I serve in the Parking lot ministry at New Creation Church. I am also a part of our teen ministry as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I learned a lot about leadership this pass summer with my AAU team. I realized the impact I have on others with my play and attitude so I worked hard on always being positive and encouraging my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Our last AAU tournament I wasn’t feeling well the entire weekend. I couldn’t play the way I usually do. I played hard when I could when I was out I was very supportive of my teammates and gave them tips from the sideline that I saw while I was on the bench. I ended up playing 8 games that weekend with pneumonia I went to the doctor on Tuesday it showed how to persevere! We won the tournament.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that wants me as a person and player. Somewhere I can be myself fit in and give me a chance to grow as a player.

The Tri-West sophomore class is loaded with talent and several of them played key roles at the varsity level as freshmen. Thomas was the most productive of the group averaging 9.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game for the Bruins as a freshman. The 5’10” guard is an explosive driver that can aggressively slice his way to the rim off of the bounce. His outside shot, 22-58 (37.9%) is definitely good enough to keep the defense honest as well. Thomas makes his debut at #45 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.
