Jones possessed the best overall athleticism and verticality at the event. Such raw athleticism where he can dunk in transition fairly easily. Out-jumped the competition for offensive boards. He passed the ball and also shot the three at a high level as well. The 2024 prospect out of Sioux Falls really impressed.

Jones can score the ball. He proved that at the Dakotas Top 250 event. A springy athlete that finds ways to put the ball in the hoop. A two-guard that handles the ball well enough to get to his scoring spots. Can create and make his 3-ball opportunities. Routinely gets far deep in the paint to make things happen for his team. Defends intensely and persistently. Absolutely hounds and suffocates his matchup. Moves well laterally to be able to do so.

Jones came to play and showed a nice offensive skill set. The combo guard scored the ball and was hitting jumpers. Got hot from three and was a consistent scorer that was scoring in bunches. Was aggressive trying to score and take on his matchup. He’d make a quick move then step back and nail a three.

WHY? He was an unranked player before this event, Jones put on a bit of a show! He is certainly in the system now! Daniel is a smooth offensive player and an efficient scorer. He is a good-sized baller with above-average mobility. Jones hit many three-pointers over the course of the Expo. He was also aggressive attacking the hoop and he scored around the rim. I like his talent. He got game!
