The Eagles are 12-1 and have made a huge jump from a year ago. They are now one of the top three teams in 4A and aside from a loss to Perry (AZ) have had an average margin of victory of just over 31 points per game. They have one of the top starting fives in the state and a big piece of that has been point guard Dane Lewis Dane Lewis 6'2" | CG Federal Way | 2023 State WA . He’s not asked to score a bunch but rather assert pace of play, spread the ball around, and head up the defensive effort with tough on-ball defense. He’s still able to hit from outside and can get creative around the rim and has filled a necessary role for Federal so far at the helm of a serious title contender.

Lewis is another transfer that fits almost too perfectly into the Eagles’ identity. He is at his best running and gunning, setting up teammates and operating in space. He is lightning quick, shifty with the ball, and has a pass-first mentality that will accentuate the depth this team has. Lewis can shoot it too and has some shiftiness at the rim as well. He’ll be a great addition, pushing the pace and playmaking for a team with plenty of finishers.

Lewis had a good run over the summer with BDH Elite, meshing well with the mix of guards and bigs they threw out on the floor. His pull-up jumper from deep is one of his go-to moves, but he has a lot of other ways he can impact the game as a 6’2 combo guard. He’s one of those players who has a knack for sparking runs with his scoring, sound playmaking ability, and simply being in the right place at the right time.

No. 4 | Lewis might be the shiftiest guard on the list. He’s an absolute blur in transition and constantly sends defenders running in the wrong direction with just a shake. He can knock down the three if left open and is highly skilled at making quick decisions when attacking the hoop. A true dime dropper, Lewis sets up his passes to perfection and is one of the more skilled guards at passing on the move.
