Oliver was one of the more difficult players to contain during Week 5. He pushed the pace in transition and consistently found ways to penetrate defenses and create for teammates. When Oliver gets into a rhythm, his bag of moves makes him tough to stop, as he can size up defenders before pulling up in their face. When he gets hot, his impact is felt on both ends of the floor.

Oliver put together a strong sophomore campaign, averaging 14.5 points and 5.3 assists per game while impacting the game as both a scorer and facilitator. The combo guard plays with a high basketball IQ—unsurprising as the son of a longtime college coach—and shows a good feel for the game. He is a reliable shot maker with range, capable of stretching the floor, and has the ability to create for others off the bounce. An above-average athlete, Oliver has the tools and instincts to continue trending upward as a prospect.
