Gutierrez may be one of the more intriguing prospects we saw all summer, and it starts with the physical tools he brings to the floor. He has great size and length, but what really caught our attention was his ability to shoot the ball. He showed legitimate range from deep while also displaying a smooth mid range game that gives him multiple ways to score. The next step is becoming more comfortable using his size inside, establishing position and making his presence felt around the basket. If that part of his game continues to come along, Gutierrez has a tremendous ceiling and could be a major name to watch as his game develops

Gutierrez showed immense skills and has plenty to like with his length, quickness and ability to score efficiently in transition. He has a confident 3 point stroke and can create enough separation to get his shot off when he wants. Moving forward we want to see him expand beyond being a perimeter specialist. With his size he can impact the game more by rebounding, mixing it up physically and becoming more involved offensively. Defensively his continued growth will be important. If he can add those elements, his scoring ability becomes even more valuable

Gutierrez continued to prove why he’s such an impact player for Tru Colorado North this weekend. At 6’4”, he combines excellent size with high level athleticism, making him one of the most dynamic players on the floor. He affected the game in every phase, crashing the glass, handling primary point guard duties, and creating offense with confidence. His quick crossover into a pull up three was a weapon he knocked down consistently, forcing defenders to respect his shot. Once they stepped up he attacked off the dribble, blowing by defenders and finishing strong at the rim. His versatility and ability to impact the game in multiple ways make him a difference maker every time he steps on the court
