About Courage
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m an explosive two-way wing who can defend multiple positions. I take pride in defense, rebounding, and hustle plays that don’t always show up on the stat sheet, and attack closeouts. I take pride in guarding the other team’s best player, running the floor hard, and playing unselfish, team-first basketball.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m very coachable and driven. I take feedback seriously, stay committed to the gym, and focus on improving a little every day on both ends of the floor. I play with high energy every possession. I stay positive, accept my role, and do whatever it takes for my team to win.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong teamwork and communication skills by playing with different groups and learning how to accept my role. I try to be a positive teammate, listen to my coaches, and lead by effort. I’ve developed leadership, resilience, and communication skills. I’m coachable, I handle criticism the right way, and I stay locked in on what the team needs, even when things aren’t going my way.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I’ve often been overlooked as a player, which has been a big challenge but also a motivator. It’s pushed me to work harder, stay focused, and control what I can. My effort, attitude, and preparation haven’t faced one big major challenge, but I’ve had to overcome everyday obstacles like tough losses, competition for minutes, and basketball. Those experiences have helped me build up.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that feels like family, with a coaching staff that believes in player development and a team culture built on hard work, accountability, and winning and a school with solid academics where I can succeed in the classroom and on the court.
