— and not just on the gridiron. The 6’7” standout has made waves as the Spuds reserve quarterback this fall, but when it comes to hoops, he was every bit as exciting in club ball with NLBA. Dryburgh turned heads, where his mix of length, athleticism, and skill made him one of the program’s most versatile pieces. Dryburgh is the kind of player who can impact the game from anywhere on the floor. He showed comfort operating on the wing, the ability to step out and hit the three-ball with consistency, and enough physicality to battle inside and produce. His connection with

gave NLBA a lethal one-two punch — the two fed off each other beautifully in the pick-and-roll, with Dryburgh reading defenses well and finishing plays with power and finesse.

The Next Level Basketball Academy puts out a huge lineup, which gives Austin the freedom to either play out on the wing or take smaller players into the post. Versatile 6’6 prospect out of Moorhead can stretch the floor from three, make plays in transition, and is a rim protecting presence inside. In the half-court he can go to work with his back to the basket, and has no problem playing through contact. One of a handful of young prospects to keep an eye on out of Moorhead.

WHY?
Austin played up in 17U. He stood out with his mobility, length, effort, ability to spread the floor, and hit the triple. Austin is full of versatility and is a matchuo headache, he can produce from every level. An opposing coach told me, “Dryburgh was the best player we went against. He was the most talented player, was always poised, has good size, and is a talented scorer.“

WHY?
He is playing up an age group and had no trouble standing out as a quality player. Dryburgh played stingy perimeter and stout interior defense. He did a good job of getting into passing lanes. Austin created turnovers and forced steals, which led to noteworthy fastbreak dunks! Dryburgh has exciting potential.

Austin is another 2027 out of Moorhead who put together a nice game running with The Next Level Basketball Academy at the 17u level. He has good mobility out in the open floor, and showed it with a transition dunk in the first half. Started to take over in the second half, which allowed his team to pull away and win comfortably in the end. Did a nice job of using his frame to seal defenders and create angles for his guards to get him the ball, showed he can hit the face-up jumper, and had success finishing through contact around the rim.
