Cohen was lighting it up from the perimeter against a very talented Team Warwick squad on Friday night. Kendhammer is an absolute sniper from deep as he canned five triples in their first game of the weekend. I was impressed with Kendhammer’s ability to quickly get triples off and the amount of confidence he shoots it with. The six-foot-two guard is a solid player in transition as well in addition to his shooting. As Cohen heads into his junior season, he should be one of the premier shooters in the La Crosse area and the talented MVC.
Cohen was one of the best all-around players I saw able to see at the Sophomore ID Camp. He’s listed at 6’2 but plays a bit bigger than his size, as he blocked/altered a handful of shots, and was a major presence on the glass. Could take a defensive board and then push the break on his own as he handles it well in the open floor. Confident shooter who can drain a three with a hand in his face, or get all the way to the rim for a euro-step finish. Super versatile prospect out of Holmen.
Cohen has a really promising frame. At 6’1 he has long arms, and he uses them to get up in passing lanes on the defensive end. Cohen battles for rebounds, and does a nice job of boxing out to clear out some space before attacking the ball out of the air. Offensively he was at his best slashing to the basket for some strong finishes inside.
