Jarell is a shifty up-and-coming guard out of Holmen. He showed impressive quickness on the ball, with the ability to create separation for a shot with limited dribbles. There were times he got caught trying to do too much on the ball, but he has the type of flair and creativity that allowed him to create scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates seemingly out of thin air. Impressive speed getting up and down the floor in transition.

Holmen has a pair of outstanding freshmen in point guard Jarell Ayed Jarell Ayed 6'0" | PG Holmen | 2030 WI and power forward Miracovsky Pierre Miracovsky Pierre 6'6" | C Holmen | 2030 WI . Ayed, in particular, has advanced skills and good feel for the game and the ability to get to the basket and finish over defenders. A scoring lead guard and willing passer, Ayed has good size, a strong body and the ability to defend either guard position. His quick first step off the dribble allows him to routinely defeat opponents and score either off the glass or with a mid-range pull-up jump shot.

Things were a little too easy for the ultra-talented and ultra-skilled guard from Wisconsin. He’s so smooth and so skilled and everything looks super fluid and natural for him. By my estimate, he’s around the 5’10” range, so he could turn out to be a guard with some solid size with major playmaking ability and a rare offensive skillset. His defensive anticipation and playmaking on the ball was some high-level stuff as well. Elite all-around guard, that I’d imagine is a top 5 2030 prospect in Wisconsin. He’ll need to continue to round out physically, but my crystal ball has him as a high-major D1 prospect.

Ayed was the most skilled 13U guard that I saw. I only saw him once, when he and his team won the 13U championship in convincing fashion. I need to go back and watch more of him, because he’s a must-watch guard. He is dangerous with the ball in his hands because he can score at an ELITE level, but his passing and dishing for assists is high-level as well.
