Big Game Clyde! Every time Davis plays, he ends drenched in sweat. Because he only knows one speed, GO, GO, GO. If it was possible he was added an extra GO to his play against Owasso. Especially down the stretch. His first step is lightning fast and he has explosiveness at the rim. Along with a good floater. Finished with 20 hard earned points, an iconic upset and a reward of a semifinals game on Friday.

Senior leader for Deer Creek, Davis has been putting on a show at the McGuinness Classic for his entire career. This marks the second time in those last three years were he helped the Antlers to the championship. Tough defender, who plays with quickness and pride as a ball hawking, on the ball defender. Has made big strides as a shooter throughout his career, especially shot it well in catch and shoot situations on Saturday. Still explosive and very hard to keep out of the paint, takes advantage of teams playing off with a bit of a mid-range game now.
One of the top available senior guards for regional small colleges. With elite quickness and one of the best motors in Oklahoma.

There’s never a question about intensity when Davis is on the court. He was once again a whirlwind on defense and uptempo on offense. Explodes to finish high and strong around the rim. His work on his jumper was evident as a junior, and as a senior he enters with his shooting a strength. Another promising sign is that he’s doing a better job of playing fast but not in a hurry, especially in the half court. Continuing to understanding that changing gears can be just as effective as pure speed will make Davis one of the toughest covers in Oklahoma. While also opening up more next level opportunities.

The athletic and hard nosed lead guard was a key part of a tonesetting win in bracket play against Owasso. He of course has his customary moments of hounding the opposition as a defender and fearlessly attacks the paint. And he also hit big second half jumpers to silence any attempt of an Owasso comes back. After improving as a shooter as a junior, it’s another big step forward for the tough guard if he’s reached an even higher level as a shooter. For up tempo college programs, Davis should be a priority for teams that want to add to their backcourt.

One of the top on the ball harassers in the state, Davis is a 94 foot guard with relentless energy. He’s quick and harasses ball handlers all over the court. For a player of his size, he has sneaky strength which stands out with the way he’s able to turn ball handlers or when finishing around the rim. The up tempo guard is one of the 2025 prospects most likely to leave it all on the court, and that helps him be a gamechanger on the defensive end. Last year as a sophomore, Davis was a key part of Deer Creek’s first State Tournament run since moving up to 6A, now he’ll have a chance to make even more noise with another upcoming trip through the rugged Class 6A playoffs.

Davis is a true tone setter on the defensive end, as the Antlers’ pressure seems to thrive off the havoc he causes on and off the ball. He’s a full 94 feet player, that will thrive at the next level for a program that gives smaller guards the free reign to attack on both ends of the court. The junior broke into double figures in scoring largely because of his transition efforts, but he was also a handful to keep out of the lane in the halfcourt as well.

helped Deer Creek to the Class 6A State Tournament for the first time since they joined Oklahoma’s largest classification in 2016. He’s one of the hardest playing guards in the state, as a ball hawking defender and relentless attacker on the offensive end. His ability to set and push the tempo were important aspects that helped the Antlers make their State Tournament run. After a strong summer where he improved his shooting, Davis will once again have the Antlers in contention for a State Tournament berth and he works to establish himself as one of the best guards in the Class of 2025.

The Deer Creek Antler would fit in well in the next level with a program that loves to press and cause havoc. He’s quick, aggressive and has good strength for his frame, which is most evident in how he plays defense. At times he can gamble a bit too much, but overall his instincts are strong and match well with his physical profile. On the offensive end he has some of the better end to end speed in the junior class. An area of improvement to keep an eye on; Davis is continuing to refine his jumper. Especially off the dribble, as he needs to be able to consistently hit from distance to provide gravity and open up space for his speedy playing style.

Game Watched: Iso JoernThe Hawks were missing their usual 17U floor general, allowing the 2025 prospect playing up in the 17U Division more time on the ball. Davis is an up tempo, gambler on the defensive end. Which often creates transition opportunities for himself and his teammates. It was also a promising shooting game for Davis, as he opened the game with a deep three. And stringed together more makes form beyond the arc after that.

Deer Creek has been one of the more exciting teams to watch in Class 6A because you never know what you’re going to get from the Antlers. On paper, this is a very young an inexperienced team. On the court, they have athleticism and skill everywhere and the Antlers are going to be a team to watch moving forward. One of the leading playmakers on this Deer Creek squad is sophomore point guard

and he has impressed us every time we’ve seen the Antlers in person. In fact, in one game in particular at the McGuinness Classic, Davis flipped a switch in the second half and led the Antlers in scoring in a low-scoring win over Edmond Memorial. Davis is a very athletic guard that shows off that athleticism when he’s driving to the basket. He’s strong with the ball and also very decisive when he gets in the paint. We’re looking forward to seeing more of him as he continues to improve his shot from around the floor.
