Walters was the most impactful defensive player on the court Friday night as he was flying around on that end of the court with some tough on ball defense and had a crazy chase down block. Walters also attacked the rim aggressively and drew fouls due to his determination to get to the rim. A true competitor on the court, Walters is a guard who will compete and help you win games.

Summit Country Day could be one of the surprise teams in the state this season as they have a ton of returning talent for a small division school. Their top senior is Walters who led them in scoring at 13.4 PPG as a Junior. A big time athlete, Walters plays hard and above the rim as a slasher. I really liked the defensive effort Walters showed me during the grassroots season as well. Keep an eye out for Summit Country Day this winter, they have the pieces to win a lot of games with Walters helping lead the charge.

OBC won their group in the pool play and I was impressed with Walters both in pool and bracket play for his team. An impressive open court athlete, Walters can throw down dunks in transition when he gets a head of steam. I also was impressed with his first step and motor, Walters grabbed a handful of offensive rebounds for a guard as well. Interesting to see Walters is a smaller volume role next to other guards who look to create their own shots. Walters was 10th in his conference in scoring and caused over 2 steals a game as a Junior. Look for Walters to attract scholarship interest during the summer with both OBC and Summit Country Day.

Walters also put-up big-time numbers as a Sophomore, scoring 18 PPG for Summit Country Day, as the only double-digit scorer on his team. An impressive athlete from the combo guard position, Walters is lightning quick with his first step and gets by defenders with ease to live in the paint. As a live dribble creator, Walters can throw some dimes off the bounce, and I’d expect his 2.4 APG as a Sophomore to increase this winter. A rhythm shot maker, Walters shot 30% from 3-point range and 79% from the free throw line, showing some shooting potential right now but that area of his game is developing as we speak. One of the top small school talents in SW Ohio, Walters will likely get a lot more buzz around his name this winter.
