Oshkosh West has a good one in Schmidt, a versatile wing with size, skill and solid basketball instincts. Schmidt scored off the dribble and from outside the arc for his team in Appleton. He also showed the ability to guard on the perimeter while contributing rebounds on both ends of the court. Schmidt might get the chance to earn some minutes for coach Dan Weisse at Oshkosh West this winter, and figures to be a key player for the Wildcats over the next several seasons.
