About Cameron

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My dominant position is PG, but I play as a SF most of the time for the good of the team. I am high energy, aggressive defensively and just an all around team player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I like to get my teammates involved. If they are having a good game then we all are having a good game, win or lose. If we play at our fullest potential, then we are accomplishing what we train so hard to do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the YMCA Member of Mt Valley Church Member of AVID Dean’s List all year long NSHSS Honor Roll Volunteer with girl’s basketball

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I try to encourage anyone who seems to be doubting their abilities. We all need someone to pick is up at times. I value being a listening ear and just giving support when needed off and on the court. I have three younger siblings to be an example for.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have Alopecia Areata, which is an autoimmune disorder of the hair follicles. Initially, I started having bald areas on my head as a 4 year old. As the years progressed I became totally bald at 16, which wasn’t easy to accept. The stares and whispers bothered me until I got on the basketball court. Now, it’s just a part of my life.

What type of college are you looking for?

Something small, Christian and not too far from my home. I am close to my family and I want to be able to visit frequently and vice versa.
