About Caleb

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Defensively I am high energy, physical, long defender, that creates deflections, contests shots, and can guard length. Offensively I look to make the best basketball play. I love to drive to the rim and finish or dish. I can create or function in an offense. I have a good transition game, can look to pull up in the midrange and elevate. Also love to post up with good footwork.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a three sport athlete (Football/Basketball/Baseball), that functions at a high level in pressure situations. I play QB, Point guard, and short stop/pitcher, and thrive as a leader that leads with work ethic and confidence. I love the weight room, and continue to push myself to develop my athleticism and a higher ceiling. I love to practice and love the process of improving. I

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an active member in my Church (Redemption Church Denver). I also volunteer with Night Lights (A respite care program for families with special needs children) - My mom is our area director. I aso have participated in several GO WEEK (community service projects) projects with The Denver Dream Center and Denver RISE.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a three sport athlete, I have developed leadership, confidence and resiliency. I function at a high level as a team player looking to make each team that I am on, better. I have learned my work ethic from my dad, who played in the NFL for 8 years. I have learned to love practice, love the process, and also make the "right play" regardless of who gets credit or accolades.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have hereditary hearing loss and have had to overcome that challenge. Additionally, my sister has a significant special needs. She has taught me patience, joy, and that life doesn't always come easy. Progress can be slow, but resiliency is key.

What type of college are you looking for?

My #1 choice would be a Christian school, that allows me to play basketball and pursue a degree in Biology, or pre-med. Enjoy bigger cities, and warm weather, but really open to new things.
