Schulz continued his outstanding summer with the Colorado Bulls by putting together another impressive weekend of tournament play. His combination of length and body control consistently created advantages on both ends of the floor, allowing him to finish through contact and score efficiently around the basket. He showed great patience attacking the rim, using his size and athleticism to get quality looks while staying under control in traffic. Schulz also impacted the game without needing a high volume of touches, running the floor hard, finishing in transition and making winning plays. His steady production and continued development have made him one of the more intriguing prospects to watch

Flatirons Academy had a solid run a season ago as they went 23-5 on the year and made a run, and a big part of that was their leading scorer, who was their do-it-all scorer. Schulz was a stat sheet stuffer as the 6’5 big man put up 16.5 and 8.8 boards a game. He dominated his matchup, dominated inside, and also occasionally stepped out and hit the 3 as well. Schulz has a balanced game and is a big-time boarder who cleans up his misses when they do come. He has a back-to-the-basket game, face-up game, and showed he could be a reliable scorer in each game. I do wish that he made it a point to get out to more events to show that he belongs and his game translates, but a big year like that as a junior has him set up for an even bigger senior season. He makes our rankings debut. 

Schulz was a problem all weekend, using his big frame and long arms to control the action inside. He carved out space in the paint, finished through contact and made life tough on defenders trying to slow him down. What makes him even more dangerous is his ability to step out and knock down shots, giving opponents a matchup headache. He showed impressive feel for the game, knowing when to score, when to move the ball and how to find openings. Add in his toughness and steady presence, and Schulz proved he’s a big man who can impact the game in multiple ways
