Bobby Lopez | Prep Hoops Scout
Sollars brought constant energy and impact on both ends this weekend. His active hands disrupted passing lanes and created extra possessions, setting the tone with effort and anticipation. Offensively he stretched the floor confidently, showing real range and spacing the defense with his three point shot. What stood out most was how quick his release was he caught it and it was gone before defenders could close out. That speed made him a tough cover and kept the defense honest all game long. Sollars played with sharp instincts, timing and a high motor that made him a consistent difference maker throughout the weekend

Sollars is the engine that keeps Glenwood Springs running, impacting the game in ways that go far beyond the box score. He runs the point with poise and feel, controlling tempo and making the right read possession after possession while averaging 9.4 points per game. His hesitation move consistently gets him into the lane, where he’s comfortable finishing with a soft floater or finding teammates with crisp, on time passes. Off the ball he’s just as dangerous, knocking down catch and shoot looks and sneaking in for timely backdoor cuts. His ability to score, facilitate and play with purpose makes him a tough cover and a player whose stock should continue climbing quickly

Sollars does well reading the floor quickly to set up cutting teammates, finding them through tight windows whenever the opportunity presents itself. Comfortable attacking downhill off the initial catch, the guard looks to attack the rim while opposing defenses are still scrambling to rotate. The game is not too fast for the guard, he is continuing to prove that he is at home at the varsity level.

Sollars should garner quite a bit more opportunity this season, following the departures of quite a few 2024s last season at Glenwood Springs. A steady three point shooter at 39% off of 41 attempts, he has already shown clear upside as a floor spacer. His next steps will be the playmaking consistency, although he was active slashing to the rim, picking his spots within the halfcourt.
