Stewart continued the momentum he built during last season’s playoff run with an outstanding weekend for PLUTO, looking every bit like a player ready to step into a major role this winter. He played with confidence and purpose on every possession, never hesitating to make plays when the opportunity presented itself. Offensively Stewart was a constant scoring threat, capable of torching defenses from all areas of the floor with his shooting touch and ability to create his own offense. His poise, aggressive mindset and shot making ability stood out throughout the tournament, making him one of the weekend’s biggest stock risers

Stewart’s rise was fueled by his ability to impact winning in multiple ways, especially during a strong playoff run where he consistently delivered in key moments. Stewart is a true connector; he plays with feel and pace, facilitating offense while contributing across the stat sheet. He turned heads this year, but certainly stood out in the playoff run, where he continued to make big play after big play. To begin the playoff run, he looked like a player to build around and made big plays. On the season, he filled up the box score, putting up 7.1 points, 4.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals a game. He did a bit of everything for the team and was a catalyst. His all-around motor and IQ make him a reliable piece trending upward, and that is why he’s now on the rankings from the watch list. 

Stewart was the surprise standout for me of the entire 3A Great 8 run. He had himself quite the day and jumped onto our radars and into the rankings with his play against CSCS. He finished with 17 big-time points. Stewart finished down the lane, hit timely buckets, played hard and runs the floor, and the ball found him due to his ability to work. He was getting steals and was the big reason for them advancing. They’re going to keep playing as long as he’s bringing these kinds of performances.
