Hawkins earned his spot in the rankings thanks to a summer that showcased his relentless motor and two way impact. Offensively he attacks the rim with speed and aggression, creating separation to finish strong at the basket. In transition he pushes the pace, often outrunning defenders before they can get set, turning fast breaks into easy points. Defensively Hawkins brings that same intensity, staying locked on his man and using active hands to disrupt passes, shots and ball handlers. His combination of speed, aggressiveness and consistent effort on both ends of the floor makes him a standout player whose growth this summer solidified his place among the ranked players
