Jennings was flat out hooping on Thursday night, playing with a ton of confidence. A quick guard, Woodford County had a lot of trouble keeping Jennings out of the paint off the dribble. Ashland Blazer ran some nice sets where the defense was focused on defending shooters running off screens and allowed Jennings to get an isolation look on the wing with no help-side defense. Transition was another aspect of the game where Jennings made his impact and he even knocked down two 3-pointers. I was really impressed with Jennings and think Ashland Blazer have the potential to make another deep playoff run with their experience and depth.

Jennings proved that the gridiron isn’t the only place he shines in a battle against eventual state champion Lyon County. He is a strong, athletic guard that is a consistent shooter off the catch and dribble. His toughness is evident in his defense and rebounding ability. He finished with 12 points while accounting for multiple assists.

Jennings’ game is a lot like Jarrell’s in the sense that he’s primarily a shooter, knocking down 40% from three. Braxton will need to have a good shooting month to open up driving lanes for

to get to the rim. For the Tomcats to make a run, they will need all of their weapons firing at the same time and a big month from Braxton would go a long way towards getting his squad to Rupp.
