About Braden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 6’6” shooting guard, who can shoot from anywhere on the floor, i’m a great playmaker and ball handler for my size. I have matured into a versatile player who can play forward position. I have great court vision. I can shoot the 3, make impressive passes, and dunk the ball with force. I am stronger than ever before.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to only win. When i’m playing I don’t think about anything other than winning the game. Not points, assists, rebounds or any other stats. I do what is needed to ensure the win and can play various roles as needed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I joined Kentuckiana Hoops this past summer and we made the elite 8 in the national tournament in Orlando.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Teamwork and leadership are two of my biggest strengths, im always looking to see if my teammates are in the right state of mind during and before a game and making sure they don’t get down, teamwork is the most important thing in basketball, one person cannot win a game. Always looking for open guys and telling people we need to work together and move the ball.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Starting varsity as a freshmen was a challenge, a lot of guys stronger than me and more experienced. I feel I met the challenge and it made me stronger mentally and physically.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any D1 college that is looking for a hard working tall guard or SF. I can do both. I’m willing to try D2 or a lower level of play if it’s the right fit to help me grow. My confidence is growing and I feel certain I can make a difference in the right team. I’m not cocky—I’m confident—and a team player.

Wright has good positional size and is an above average athlete. He’s in a bit of a shooting slump right now but once he gets that straightened out, look for a big second half of the season for Braden and the potential for Edmonson to be a factor in the 3rd.
