Louis, a guard out of Archbishop Williams High School in Massachusetts, makes his way onto the Watch List on the heels of a few standout performances so far this winter. Louis is a disruptive defender, both on the ball and in passing lanes, that’s capable of quickly turning defense intro transition offense. Offensively, he has a nice scoring package around the rim, but really stands out with his ability to knock down perimeter jumpers, particularly in catch and shoot situations.

Louis played well last season for Archbishop Williams, but he’s made some improvements to his game over the summer and will turn heads at the MIAA level this winter. The 5-foot-11 guard is a bulldog on both ends, and when he commits to pressuring opposing ball handlers, he’s an absolute menace defensively — he can be a phenomenal point of attack defender if he wants to be. Offensively, Louis keeps his line well on drives and cannot be moved off his spot because of his strength and toughness. He’ll score close to 20 a game this season if I had to guess.

Louis was one of Archbishop Williams’ best players last season, and he’s poised to be their best this year. He should lead them in scoring and will often times guard the opposing team’s best backcourt player. The 5-foot-11 combo guard is a bowling ball when attacking downhill and should be one of the best players in the MIAA this year. After that, I could imagine prep schools being interested in him for a PG year or potentially D3’s being interested right away.

Louis is another guy who exudes D3 hoops. I saw him for the first time at Curry camp and was impressed with his ability to attack the cup and use his physicality to overwhelm opposing guards. At Holy Cross camp, though, it was his defense that stood out; he does a good job beating offensive players to the spot and walling them up with his strong upper body and hands. If he can continue to get in better physical condition and be able to display that kind of effort on every possession, he could certainly garner some high level D3 looks. This year will be big for him at Archbishop Williams, and a good season could lead to some prep school opportunities for the following year.

Louis has a decent case for being camp’s most dominant player. The rising senior is able to bulldoze his way into the defense with his big body and strength, but he also has some wiggle and handle to his game that’s quite impressive. He was one of the best players at camp when it came to taking his defender off the dribble and getting into the paint for pull ups. He also gets tons of elevation on his jumper from three point range. He could have some better discernment when it comes to shooting vs. passing, but that could’ve just been because he was playing at a showcase. Definite D3 guy.
