Huge game for Unruh in the game we watched, a win over South Salem. The rising senior guard was locked in with his jumper, both from the mid and long range, but was also strong with his drives and finishes at the hoop. It appears he’s added some strength to his frame, which paid off with big dividends as he was a huge force on the boards for the Beavers. He finished the game with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists.

put together an impressive scoring performance, finishing with a game-high 30 points while showcasing his ability to score at all three levels. A great shooter, Unruh makes defenses pay whenever he’s left open, but he’s much more than just a perimeter threat. He attacks the basket aggressively, finishes tough plays at the rim, and competes on every possession. Despite his scoring ability, he’s also a willing team player who consistently makes the extra pass and keeps the offense flowing. His combination of shooting, toughness, and work ethic makes him a difficult matchup and a player who impacts winning in multiple ways.

The wing player has been a little inconsistent shooting the ball this season, but his all around play will be mandatory if the Beavers are to pull the upset against Grant. When Unruh plays well, it usually results in Beaverton playing their best, case in point, their road win at Jesuit earlier in the season.

Also known best for his shooting, Unruh certainly knocked down open jumpers but the fact he was available to receive the pass was due to his great ability to move without the ball and get open for clean looks. The Beaverton junior didn’t just spot up though as he also showed some ability to create off the bounce and outside of offense, he rebounded well for his position and did a great job passing too.
