-The athletic wing prospect had a strong finish to the season for a scrappy Loyola team that fought to the very end. There were noticeable improvements over the course of the season to Olofintila’s perimeter game. He began to knock down perimeter shots off the catch and attack his matchup with swift downhill drives. Already a capable wing defender that can guard up or down a position, there’s a roadmap to contending for a scholarship at the next level if he can prove his worth at a prep school or junior college for at least a year. Excited to see where he ends up taking his talents to next.

-Olofintila showed some improved ball skills throughout a hard-fought loss to the 1 seed yesterday. He knocked down a trio of triples from beyond the arc, landed on two to hit a floater off the window, and used his pivot well to maneuver through the double team to score off of his offensive rebound. He has a nice blend of size, athleticism, and motor that should give him a nice boost up our final set of 2026 rankings coming later this month.

Olofintila steps in as the focal point for a Loyola Blakefield team who is transitioning to a new coaching staff. After losing the majority of production from last year’s team, Olofintila is one of the few returning faces and now steps into a key role where that should boost his confidence and as a result, allow other aspects of his game to surface quickly. He brings athleticism around the rim in the form of dunks, aggressive rebounds, and shot-altering capability as the anchor. Offensively his overall skillset is still coming into its own, but we should see a great amount of opportunity for Olofintila to take his man off face-ups or quick isolations. He’s the type of prospect that can pose mismatches at the high school level with his blend of size, quickness, and strengthe as a four-man who may need to spend time at the five this season for the Dons.

-What the junior W/F tweener lacks in skill, he makes up with in pure heart and energy for the Dons. Olofintila runs the floor well, throws his body around in the paint to come up with rebounds, sets great screens, and is starting to consistently block more shots from the help side. The feel, positioning and awareness have improved even since the start of the season as he is understanding when to flash to the ball side block and when to hang around in the dunker’s spot or move to the front of the rim to create good spacing for driving guards. His energy is contagious whether he is on the floor or on the bench, love watching him sacrifice his body for the team night in and night out.

-I’ve only seen Olofintila play a few times but I come away every time impressed by the energy and joy that he plays the game of basketball with every time he touches the floor. A 6’6 wing athlete that runs the floor, rebounds the basketball, and covers a ton of ground for Loyola defensively as a helper or on-ball wing stopper. He finished with a putback dunk in transition to start an 8-2 Loyola run midway through the 1Q, streaked down the floor for a rim run dunk in transition, and is outletting the ball much more quickly and efficiently after blocking a shot. With two years of HS basketball left to develop the handle and jumper, I like his upside as a prospect

-Olofintila is a raw, physical 3/4 tweener to watch on a dangerous Loyola team that could turn some heads this winter. He’s athletic, plays with a motor at both ends of the court, and attacks the glass to win extra possessions for his team. Think he has some potential as a face-up scorer from the high post and has shown that he can be a pretty effective straight line driver from the wings. If he can improve his touch around the basket and add in more shot-blocking ability around the paint– his value will only increase

-Loved Olofintila’s activity and motor throughout both games that I watched in a new setting with Loyola Blakefield. A W/F tweener that can finish plays around the basket, guard forwards and perimeter players, and providing a consistent rebounding force around the rim– Olofintila’s versatility gives the Dons different lineup options in a season that they will look to overwhelm opponents with their depth and ball movement. Excited to see how he is used and how he is developed

has the size and athleticism to be a wing at the next level. Ayo can knock down threes, and he does a great job bullying smaller players in the paint. Ayo has a nice second jump and rebounds well. Ayo’s motor is fantastic, and with his length and athletic ability, I can see him being an elite defender.
