About Austin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a do-it-all center who specializes in interior defense, three point shooting, and finishing at the rim.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a relentless worker, and strive to be team-oriented at all times. I am very passionate about basketball, and my main goal is to help my team win at a high level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am the co-president of FBLA, a member of NHS, SNHS, link crew, and student government. I am a national merit scholar, and hold a Sci-Tech Certification.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a strong leader and communicator, and am very vocal on the floor. I learn quickly and adapt to new situations with ease.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was cut six times during the course of my first three years at Eaglecrest High School. I started playing basketball in 8th grade, so I started very late. I am blessed to have this opportunity at Vista PEAK Preparatory, and am looking forward to capitalizing on it.

What type of college are you looking for?

One with a strong engineering program. I plan to major in mechanical engineering.
