Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
A lightning-quick guard with a great feel for the game, Driscoll is a knockdown 3-point shooter off both the dribble and the catch. He does a great job changing speeds and using that change of pace to get by defenders, and he sees the floor extremely well and is a talented passer. He averaged 20.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.3 steals, and posted 48-37-91 shooting splits.

Driscoll first emerged as a big-time scorer and playmaker during his freshman and sophomore seasons at MFL MarMac. He transferred to play his junior year at Decorah, where he took on a little bit of a different role, playing first as a facilitator and then as a scorer second. He’s quick with the ball in his hands and can get to the rim going either direction. He has a pure stroke from the mid-range and 3-point line and gets into his shot quickly off the dribble, and he’s of course also a skilled passer with great vision. He averaged 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game on 48-51-74 shooting splits last season, and will be asked to be the team’s go-to perimeter scorer this year.

Driscoll put up ridiculous numbers at MFL MarMac during his freshman and sophomore seasons, then played a little different role last year for a loaded Decorah team. He’ll get back to a bigger scoring role as a senior for the Vikings following a lot of losses to graduation. He’s a high IQ guard with great speed, tight handles, and a pure stroke off the dribble and the catch. He averaged 9.8 points and 4.5 assists a game on 49-51-74 shooting splits.

Driscoll had a huge scoring game from a perimeter on Friday evening. Came out the gates firing from downtown with some early pull-up jumpers and continued that momentum into the second half where he continued to show his ability to put the ball in the bucket. While he mostly lived on the perimeter, Driscoll also had a tough lefty finish off a drive to the rim. Despite the loss I left really impressed with his game.
