2023 6’0 Mason So | Bishop O’Connell
The future of the guard play at Bishop O’Connell is in good hands and one guy that particularly made a good name for himself on Saturday was 2023 Mason So. He got after it on defense and showed his offensive skill set against nationally ranked DeMatha as it was extremely impressive how he maneuvered on offense against their bigger defenders. He finished with 13 points.
2023 6’8 Tyler Mason | Bishop O’Connell
Another bright spot for the Knights is 2023 Tyler Mason. Mason already stands at 6’8 and is an active force down low. He is capable of finishing well at the rim on defenders after powering his way in the low post. The lefty is also capable of stretching the floor and shooting a three. Whenever Mason was on the floor Saturday he always seemed to be productive and constantly active.
2022 5’11 Cam’Ron Brown | Archbishop Carroll
Good things seemed to happen when Brown was on the floor. Only standing at 5’11, Brown helped Carroll out on both ends of the court. Whether it was running the offense at the point guard position or playing good defense, one of the bright spots on this Carroll team is future Brown has with the Lions.
2023 5’11 Deshawnn Harris-Smith | Paul VI
With an increased role as the latter part of the season went on. Harris-Smith showed why there is a lot to be excited about with him moving forward. The freshman already has a good build for such a young age and plays hard with a good motor. It also seems that he already has a solid basketball IQ. In a win against Archbishop Carroll he was a force on the boards finishing with 8 rebounds on the day.
2022 6’10 Favour Aire | Bishop McNamara
A key reason why McNamara hung in there with Gonzaga on Saturday was the performance from the 2022 big man who was recently announced 1st team All Conference as a sophomore. Favour demonstrated his ability to shoot the hook shot on defenders down low and blocked shots on defense. Aire has tremendous length with a crazy long wingspan and is on track to become one of the most sought after big men in the entire 2022 class.
