Standing at 6’5, Vick is a swiss army knife on the floor and he put that on display this past summer on the Nike EYBL circuit with Team Griffin. “It was pretty good I was just trying to get use to the pace of the games and the shot clock, it was different than I’ve played before,” Vick said.
He is considered a wing but Vick prefers not to be put into the constraints of a position. “I really don’t have a position I prefer I’ll just play wherever I’m needed,” Vick said.
Vick consistently disrupted opposing wings with his length and agility. On offense, Vick is still somewhat raw but has some base fundamentals that are very encouraging for the next level of his development.
The lefty wing has a very good floater which he relies on heavily around the rim. He is also a very good passer on the move and is always dribbling with his head up. Vick’s jumper is not perfect but he can hit the open spot up three pointer. He believes shooting and ball handling are the two areas he wants to work on the most.
Vick is a talented wide receiver prospect for the Jaguars as well but he is looking forward to what the season will bring for him on the hardwood. “I’m looking forward to getting to state,” Vick said.
Because of his wide-ranging talents, Vick is not yet decided on what he wants do play at the next level. “Schools haven’t really been contacting me for basketball besides some D2 schools,” Vick said. “I don’t know what sport I’m gonna play in college yet I’m just keeping my options open right now.
Vick is the prototype physically to play at the college level. The 2018 wing is projected as a high DII prospect. Division II’s are always looking for long 3 and D type of wings. Vick has a bright future athletically no matter which sport he decides to pursue at the next level.
