For these 2022s, maybe some of those firsts applied to them. But, for all, that last possibility definitely applies.
[#15] Jamal Sumlin | 6-1 PG | Rhodes
Sumlin is one of the most advanced guards we’ve watched in the 2022 class. He’s very solid in a number of areas. But in terms of passing and perimeter defense, he’s more than solid. Sumlin can sit down at the point of attack and has quick hands to cause steals. Very tough competitor. Offensively, Sumlin possesses terrific timing and vision as a passer. No distinct flaw.
Cleveland State and Rider offered.
[#38] Dayvion McDonald | 6-6 PF | Coffman
McDonald’s physical attributes are very enticing. High hips. Moves well. Has some pop. He’s also flashed the ability to put it on the floor as a face-up guy. There’s a lot yet to be seen with McDonald, and no reason to become impatient, but the intrigue is very much there.
[#43] Martin Beredo | 6-7 PF | Toledo St. Francis
Beredo isn’t a good shooter for his position. He’s just flat-out a good shooter. No reason to qualify the statement. Beredo, a stretch four, combines his specialty with immense length and promising mobility — a combination that allows him to defend in space and bother perimeter shots.
[#57] Ben Southerland | 6-6 PF | CHCA
Southerland is a mobile forward with size with intriguing upside as a face-up four. He is comfortable on the perimeter and can shoot it. Capable of scoring on straight-line-drives, too.

[#62] Sean Millington | 6-2 SG | Southview
Millington is a smooth combo guard with solid size and a nice lefty shooting stroke. He can score it from multiple areas on the floor, including the mid-range where he shoots a rhythm pull-up. Flashes athletic finishing ability.
[#69] CJ Yarian | 6-8 PF | St. Ignatius
Yarian’s most-appealing qualities are his size, mobility, and shooting stroke. We need to see more of Yarian before providing more of a thorough evaluation, but those tools are promising.
[#73] Jaiden Cox Holloway | 6-4 PF | Euclid
Cox-Holloway is effective around the basket as a finisher and active defender. He shows a promising second jump as a rebounder and gets his hands on the ball when protecting the rim. Raw frame.
[#76] Drew Panning | 6-4 SG | Westland
Panning can shoot it and flashes an efficient scoring package from the wing. Plus height. Comfortable shooting one- and two-dribble pull-ups. Pretty quick first step.
