Bradley Bell – 2022 – F – Westosha Central
Bell is shooting the ball really well this season. In all three games we’ve seen, Bell has impressed and shown he’s taken some big steps since July. The 6-foot-7 sophomore is a confident shooter from 3-point and mid-range. He does a really great job of posting and then when he doesn’t get the ball, flashing to the high post for open jumpers. A lanky post prospect, Bell will need to add size and strength to be able to hold his own on the block. However, like many bigs, Bell has the potential to develop late and with his skillset of being able to pull people away from the rim, Bell could be a big stock riser by the time his senior year rolls around.
Cam Palesse – 2021 – G – Waukesha West
Westosha Central’s zone tends to limit the production of star players quite a bit. That did not carry over with Palesse, thanks to his outstanding mid-range game. Against the 2-3 zone, Palesse did an outstanding job of hitting gaps and knocking down shots from 16-18 feet. For the most part, Palesse didn’t settle for outside shots — although he did knock in two 3-pointers. Finishing with 30 points, Palesse also did great work on the glass and defensively. With West trailing with a couple minutes remaining, Palesse scored or assisted on nine-straight points to lead the comeback victory.
Jack Rose – 2022 – SG – Westosha Central
Rose scored 22 points in the loss. The sophomore shooting guard impressed with his ability to rebound after a slow start. Rose came out and missed his first four shots from the field, but ended up knocking in his next three, all from 3-point range. Rose looked really good off the ball. Facing some tight coverage, he was able to work loose around screens and get open for catch-and-shoot opportunities. With Kenny Garth out, Rose got a lot more attention. Rose needed to force shots a bit to give the Falcons a chance, but he also made some really nice passes out of double teams to find open teammates under the rim.
Peter Skogman – 2021 – SF – Waukesha West
Skogman really helped take the load of Palesse at times against the zone defense. The junior wing scored eight key points in what was a defensive battle all night. Skogman knocked down two triples and also found room under the hoop for another timely bucket. The younger brother of former West star and Buffalo freshman forward David Skogman, Peter has really good size at 6-foot-5. From the games we’ve seen thus far, Skogman appears to be a very strong 3-point shooter who can space the floor and provide driving lanes for others.
