Anderson was a sharpshooter from his game in the consolation semifinals against Inola. He kept finding his open looks on the perimeter and could not be stopped. Anderson is a spot up shooter who likes to have his feet set and when he can catch and shoot he is at his best. He can be a really streaky shooter and when he gets hot he is hard to stop. He finished with 23 points in his matchup versus Inola.
Jaxon Blunt 2022 Fort Gibson Guard
Blunt had by far the most impressive showing of the tournament so far. Blunt was confident and was able to find a lot of open space because of his aggressive nature. He ran the point perfectly for Fort Gibson against Victory and limited his turnovers. Blunt’s performance was helped by the fact that he was able to get to the free throw line 15 times throughout the game. He finished with a tournament high so far of 30 points.
Conner Calavan 2020 Fort Gibson Guard
Calavan was his usual impressive self again for Fort Gibson. However, he did it in a different way than he is used to. Normally Calavan strives out on the wing and knocks down his threes, but the Tigers put him down low on a mismatch a lot of different times tonight and Calavan proved to be too strong to shut down in the paint. Calavan would either score or get fouled down low. He finished the night with 21 points.
Evan Sauer Siloam Springs Guard
Sauer had an impressive performance from all three levels. He was able to step out and knock down threes when he needed to, but he also was not afraid to drive to the bucket and finish at the rim either. Sauer’s aggressive nature got him to the foul line quite often as well as he finished the night with 22 points.
Landon Ward Siloam Springs Guard
Ward is the energy on the Siloam Springs team. He plays fast and with a lot of emotion that shows on the court. He shot the ball extremely efficient in his teams semifinal victory. Ward shot the ball well from the perimeter when he was left space. He finished the round with 20 points.
Tyler Haddock Verdigris Guard
Haddock does most of his work on the offensive end inside the three point line and is very effective in doing so. He has the ability to step and knock down a three if needed but does a lot better when he is in and around the basket. He finished with 22 points in Verdigris’ semifinal victory over Stilwell.
