The first half featured a dual of 2020 Wing Reggie Raynor and 2022 Wing Cinque Lemon, both who are college prospects, while the 2nd half was where we saw 2020 Jay Hickman provide some big time buckets to help his team secure the win.
Northwood Temple 2020 Wing Reggie Raynor: Dominant would be the best way to describe his 26 point, double figure rebounding performance on the night. He was aggressive from the beginning of the game, attacking the basket as well as showing a much improved jump shot. Some high level D2 programs have already offered while LM and JC programs have been showing interest as well.
Fayetteville Academy 2022 Wing Cinque Lemon: We saw what he can possibly be in the first half of this matchup as he was automatic from midrange. At about 6’5 with a smooth shooting stroke and nice athletic ability, you can see why he’s a name that has been talked about quite a bit as he is one to keep a close eye on.
Northwood Temple 2020 Guard Jay Hickman: It seemed as if every time his team needed a three point bucket, he provided it for them, knocking down four treys on the night. He does a nice job of moving without the ball as well as quickly setting his feet and getting his shot off before his defender can react. D2 and Low Major programs have been showing interest in so far with schools like VMI dropping in to check him out.
Fayetteville Academy 2021 Guard Anthony Geddie Jr: Logging the majority of the teams PG minutes, he was solid production wise, running the show while keeping his turnovers low. He does a nice job of getting his teammates involved and displayed the ability to knock down the three point shot as the game went on.
Northwood Temple 2021 Guard Emmanuel Sepulveda: We have watched his game over the past few years and he’s developing into one of the better pass first PG’s in the area. The combination of his passing, vision, IQ and speed, make him a difficult player to defend and an asset to his team, he always has his head and forces the defense to retreat quickly.
Fayetteville Academy 2022 Forward Truman Claytor: He got off to a bit of a slower start but once he became more comfortable, he made plays and was productive. His midrange shooting and play making from the short corner area were some of the things we saw from him.
Northwood Temple 2021 Forward Yohann Sam: As one of the teams taller players, rebounding is one of the jobs that he has to take care of and he was solid overall. Offensively he showed some flashes of good he could be which included a three point dagger that would extend the lead for his team in the final minute.
Fayetteville Academy 2022 Wing Amari Pearson: Plays the game with a high motor, he’s constantly working on both ends of the floor to try to help his team. His offensive production wasn’t at his highest but we constantly engaged and made the right plays at the right time for the most part.
