In this piece, we breakdown some players to watch in Division 3AA based on research combined with what we’ve seen in person this fall.
Division 3AA Players to Watch (Part I)
Laird Anderson, Jr., Mark Keppel
Anderson possesses an impressive combination of speed, strength and balance that he uses to his advantage in transition where he can blow-by in the open court and power through contact in the open court. The 6-foot-1 senior plays with a poise to his game that limits unforced mistakes.
Troy Anderson, Moorpark
The Musketeers will have to replace the 30 points left on the table with the graduation of Drake London, and it will likely start with Anderson, who put up averages of 11.4 points and 6.2 rebounds as a sophomore last season.

Archer impacts just about every aspect of the game, as evidenced by his sophomore stat line of 10.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. The 6-foot-3 lead guard continues to make strides as an intriguing long-term prospect.
Kunal Bagga, Servite
Bagga was Servite’s leading scorer last season as a junior, dropping 11.1 points per game. While he might not be in that same position this year due to the improvements of a couple of underclassmen, Bagga’s shooting and all-around intangibles will be crucial to the Friars’ success.
John Bakke, El Dorado
Bakke is a product of a north Orange County squad that doesn’t get a whole lot of eyes on it, but the 6-6 forward was the definition of consistent production last season as he put up averages of 15.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game as a junior.
Quincy Bentley, Newbury Park
Bentley is a new arrival at Newbury Park, making the move over from Heritage Christian. The 6-foot-1 scoring guard is likely to have an expanded role entering his junior season with Panthers.
Nolan Boffman, Paraclete
Boffman is one part of the two-headed monster returning for Paraclete. The 6-foot-1 senior averaged 13.6 points as a junior last season, including a team-high 52 3-point makes.
Brian Brown, Jr., Citrus Hill
Brown did a little bit of everything for Citrus Hill last season. The 6-4 wing put up averages of 14.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game during his junior season, and with the departure of second leading scorer Mason Owens to Riverside Hillcrest, Brown could add to that impressive stat-line this season.
