Verlandez Williams, G/F Michigan Center
It’s no surprise to see Williams on this list he is a super talented wing player that can do a bit of everything. He can step out and shoot the ball from the perimeter, attack the basket off the bounce and handle the ball on the perimeter.
Defensively, Williams uses his length and athleticism to alter shots at the rim. The 6’4 forward will provide an immediate impact for the Cardinals team and should average around double figures in his sophomore season.
Jermaine Buckner, G Northwest
Buckner is is a smooth scorer that should be a valuable starter for the Mounties. Buckner can punish teams from behind the arc. while also being able to finesse his way around the basket.
The 5’9 guard is a big-time athlete and uses his athleticism to finish around the rim. Buckner has a tremendous handle as well as a good feel for the game. The Mounties are expecting big things out of their sophomore star this upcoming year!
Jacob Buckland, G/F East Jackson
Buckland played and started every single varsity game for the Trojans this past year, Buckland has to play a big role for the trojans this year for them to be able to make a push in the playoffs.
The 6’4 guard/forward has the scoring ability to step out and knock it down from deep. Buckland can also put the ball on the ground and attack the basket at will. Buckland not only can step out and guard the perimeter but he also uses his height to disrupt players at the rim as he will be a big paint presents for the trojans this upcoming year.
LeRay Griffin, G Jackson High
The 6’1 Guard has a good handle on the ball being able to maneuver around defenders, Griffin also has a good looking jump shot with in the gym range.
Griffin has a great perimeter skill set as he can create his shot off the dribble and is very good off-ball moving around looking to get open shots. Griffin will play a big part in the Vikings success this year!
Eric Wilson, G Jackson High
Wilson recently transferred to Jackson from South Carolina, Wilson is a smooth operator on the perimeter. He can stretch the defense with his shooting and can beat his defender off the bounce. Wilson is not just a scorer as he is capable of defending just about all positions.
The 6’1 Guard should provide an immediate impact as a Sophmore. He could help lead the Vikings to a deep run in the state tournament. Wilson will have to step in and add that extra scoring ability for the Vikings this year! Keep your eyes on Wilson.
