2021 Sasha Letino, Forward, Moravian Prep
Sasha Letino showed poise with his ability to battle down low and finish in traffic. He drew fouls on defenders and got to the free-throw line when given the opportunity. He didn’t get a chance to show off his range but did manage to show his prowess on the glass.
2020 Cam Thompson, Point Guard, Moravian Prep
Cam Thompson was the consummate floor general with his ability to keep his teammates engaged and force turnovers on defense. He had a number of steals that he turned into assists on the fastbreak and did well to stand out without scoring the basketball.
2021 Badu Griffin, Guard, Moravian Prep
Badu Griffin showed off his abilities as a big combo guard on both ends. He knocked down four 3-pointers, three of them on back-to-back-to-back possessions, and finished with 22 points, getting to the rim and free throw line off the bounce. Defensively, he showed off his knack for pressuring the ball.
2021 Tavis Bridges, Forward, Moravian Prep
Tavis Bridges was impressive with his ability to block shots, rebound and finish around the rim. He’s still learning to play with a motor but what stood out the most was his ability to be a presence on the defensive end. He’s going to be quite the shot blocker once it’s all said and done.
2021 Parker Grant, Guard, Moravian Prep
Parker Grant was aggressive on both ends with his ability to create off the dribble while not forcing the issue on offense. He put up 14 points in Moravian’s win over North Davidson, scoring on all three levels. He knocked down two 3-pointers and showed off his floor game which should really boost his squad in 2019-20.
2020 Chandler Vanover, Point Guard, North Davidson
Chandler Vanover was a shifty guard for North Davidson that showed a knack for getting to the rim and finishing in traffic. He made plays for others while showing off his ballhandling ability in the game.
2021 Griffin Hayes, Guard, North Davidson
Griffin Hayes was his team’s sharpshooter, making four 3-pointers for his squad. He did well to find openings on offense to get his shot off. He never stopped moving on offense and did his best on the perimeter to be a knockdown 3-point shooter.
2020 Omarion Johnson, Forward, Eastern Guilford
Omarion Johnson was a beast for Eastern Guilford in Week 3, especially in the paint and on the glass. He showed a nice mix of his midrange game as well as he kept things close for his team all game long. He finished with 18 points and six rebounds and showed off his high motor for playmaking.
2021 Syncere Blackstock, Eastern Guilford
Syncere Blackstock paced his team from 3-point range, knocking down three 3-pointers and finishing with 11 points, despite a close loss. He showed off his range for the Wildcats and played a vital role in keeping things close after trailing in the early going.
Stay tuned for Part 3 dropping on Monday morning!
