“So far recruitment has been really good,” said Godwin. “Through the last few months, I have learned a lot about each of the programs recruiting me, especially the ones I have visited. “
The visit list continues to grow with four official visits still on tap for Godwin. Wofford is up for this weekend September 12-14, followed by SIU September 21-23, North Texas September 27-29, and Tulsa October 4-6.
Godwin has a great variety of schools that are recruiting him heavily. The latest to offer was Tulsa the highest level of basketball he has on his list. Godwin could make his selection within the next month, as schools will press for his talents.
The biggest thing coming to light is how many schools clearly believe in his talents. At 6’9 Godwin is an energizer bunny on the court. From blocking shots, grabbing huge rebounds, to slamming the basketball through the hoop Godwin provides a lot of value at the 4/5. Lately, we are starting to see Godwin extend his range on his jumper out beyond the three-point line. If this continues to progress it would add a whole different element to his game making him even tough to stop.
Many more visits will be made to Godwin at Southmoore high school before the process is over. It is evident he has become a high priority for the schools recruiting him.
