“I see myself as a scoring point guard, but also as an all-around player,” Hollowell said. “I do everything on the court.”
Hollowell played a dominant role in the Blazers’ success last season. The player averaged 25.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while also dishing out a significant amount of assists. This year, Hollowell says he wants to, well, win.
“My goals for this season is to have a winning record and go as far as we can,” Hollowell stated. “I want to win the All-A Classic State Championship and make it to Rupp Arena for the big State Tournament.”
This summer, Hollowell played AAU for the Hoops Dreams’ 17U squad. He says he played well.
“I played very well for Hoop Dreams 17U this summer,” Hollowell told me.
In the classroom, the student-athlete syas he is a good student.
“I make good grades,” Hollowell said. “I finished last year with a 3.3 GPA.”
The scoring guard currently holds six scholarship offers from colleges in Samford, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, St. Louis, Ohio and Missouri. Along with those offers, he says he has been shown interest from Tulsa and Jacksonville State, and that more coaches should start to reach out because he gives his all.
“My game should catch coaches’ eyes because I can do everything on the floor and I play my hardest every game,” Hollowell noted.
