Ty Ty Washington (6’3 2021 G Cesar Chavez)
Ty Ty Washington has been killing it all summer and last season as well. As Gregg said in his preview article about the event,”Ty Ty Washington is arguably the best guard in the state”. That sounds like enough for any spectator to want to check him out!
Trent Hudgens (6’2 2020 G Moon Valley)
Big fan of Hudgens game. I feel like he can really run the floor/offense well and boy can he shoot that ball. Hudgens is a player I didn’t get to see a ton of this summer so I am really curious to see how he has progressed since last time seeing him play.
Logan Phillips (6’7 2020 G/F Valley Christian)
Speaking of a kid progressing, look at Logan Phillips. Phillips has gotten enormously better this summer and his defensive game has improved tremendously. Coach Kirk Fauske puts a big emphasis on defense so that is surely the cause of this spike in defensive consistency.
Marcus Wady (5’8 2020 G Desert Vista)
Really liked what this kid brought to the table at the ASU camp, especially against AZ Compass Prep. He was fearless and battled with some of the best guards on the west coast. I really like that bulldog mentality and competitiveness. It’s very entertaining to watch.
Isaiah Broady (6’6 2021 G)
Isaiah Broady really came on the scene this year and made a name for himself. He is stellar on the offensive end, being long, athletic, and can shoot it. My main concern is his efforts on the defensive end. I am a big defense guy so that really sticks out for me. Very excited to see how he plays this event because the kid has so much potential.
