Preview: Prep Hoops Finale 17U Pool F
The Prep Hoops Finale features teams from Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Louisiana. The Tournament will kick off on Friday night at Putnam City High School. The two courts at Putnam City High School will feature the 17U and 16U divisions throughout the weekend.
The Prep Hoops Finale Pool F features the only four pool team in the entire tournament. This means one team will not make it to bracket play. With that said it is a loaded pool with talent everywhere you look.
PWP Select
The PWP Select squad isn’t your normal “Select” team. They have great 2017 talent with Aaron Lucas at the Point, Payton Bradley on the wing with Kalen Childs and Kyle Keener in the post. The Select squad also has a very talented group of young players with Colt Savage headlining the way as a 6’5 Combo Guard. This team is a Division II coaches dream as they will have many players end up at the Division II level. PWP Select will have their hands full, but certainly have a great chance of advancing.
Oklahoma Servants
The Oklahoma Servants as always have a tough talented group that shares the ball extremely well. Guards to lookout for are Trez Hankins and Tye Blaine on the wings. Blaine has really taken his game to another level becoming a more consistent jump shooter from the outside. David Sumo is a smaller guard at the Point to look at with college potential. Inside it is all about big Ben Jenkins who is a load down low. The Servants have small college player throughout the floor. Many will likely end up at the JUCO to NAIA D2 route.
Oklahoma Premier
Oklahoma Premier is back contending for tournament championships this year. They have a great mix of older talent with some young players as well. Some players to watch for on Oklahoma Premier include Travon Palmer is an intriguing prospect at the wing with his length and athleticism. Some young players to be on the lookout for include Tyler Street and Kobe Dudley in the 2018 Class.
OKC Wolfpack
The OKC Wolfpack are a well constructed team lead by their 2017 Point Guard Tre Edwards. He is an undersized Point Guard that can score it in all three phases of the game. Edwards does a great job of feeling out the game and getting his teammates involved at the same time scoring his load to carry the team. The Wolfpack will need Edwards and company to have a big weekend to get them into bracket play on Sunday.
Pool F is arguably the most interest pool heading into the weekend with talent on each team and just three spots on the line for bracket play on Sunday.
