Continue ReadingOut of every underrated guard in Oklahoma, Brewster Peacock is the most overlooked player in the state. Peacock possess Division I talent on the wing with great size, the ability to score and big time upside. Peacock projects to be a low to mid major Division I player.
Last season at Verdigris high school Peacock led the Cardinals to win the Class 4A State Championship. Peacock averaged 22 points and 8 rebounds per game for Verdigris. Many times in Oklahoma small school players get overlooked, but grassroots basketball provides a chance to prove themselves against national competition.
“I want to keep improving and making my teammates better,” Peacock said. “I’m just trying to be the best leader I can be for my team. Working on getting everyone on the same track to try to accomplish our goals.”
Peacock stands at every bit of 6’4 on the wing with the skills to put the ball on the floor. He has a deadly three-point shot that he can get off at a moments notice. Peacock has a couple of Division I programs who have reached out to him this spring. He is hoping to garner more Division I interest before the end of the July live period.
Lehigh, Davidson, North Dakota State and ORU are a few of the schools that have reached out to Peacock. It will be interesting to see what type of July Peacock can have with the Oklahoma Impact. Peacock was selected to the Big Shots All-American Camp, which will take place the first week of July. The Oklahoma Impact will be at Big Shots tournament in Myrtle Beach July 6th-10th, Great American Shootout in Dallas July 14th-17th and the Las Vegas Classic July 20th-26th.
Looking forward to his senior high school season Peacock has one thing on his mind, back to back.
“My goals heading into my senior season are to go back to back.” Peacock said.
