1. Jaeden Zackery – Westosha Central
Holding Division 2 offers from UW-Parkside and Concordia-St. Paul, Zackery is going to take his recruitment into the spring and play out the live period. A definitely Division 2 prospect, Zackery is one of the best two-way players in the state and does just about everything on the floor. As a senior, Zackery posted 21.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game for Westosha Central, who went 23-2.
2. Trequan Carrington – Martin Luther
Carrington led the Spartans to the Division 3 state championship this past season. A prospect that appears likely to go the prep/JUCO route after high school, Carrington is a D1 talent if schools can overlook his size. One of the most explosive scorers and ball handlers in the state, Carrington averaged 20.9 points and 4.6 assists per game for 25-3 Martin Luther last season.
3. Jaylon Gentry – Brown Deer
Look for Gentry to potentially go the JUCO route and earn himself a scholarship down the road. The 5-foot-9 senior is an excellent vocal leader with takeover ability. This past season, he put up 20.7 points and 4.5 assists per game. Despite being undersized, Gentry is very smooth with the ball and is one of the best shot creators in the state.
4. Chombi Lambert – Roncalli
UW-Stevens Point has been in contact with Lambert. One of the state’s best scorer, Lambert put up 21.6 points per game as a senior. While he’s undersized, Lambert makes up for it with quickness on and off the ball. He can shake defenders in the halfcourt and create space off the bounce and will work tirelessly off screens to hunt shots.
5. Troy Reeves – Madison La Follette
Per his coach, Reeves has been picking up strong interest from UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point. Reeves has point guard size, but can play on or off the ball. A strong, bouncy guard that can attack and finish at the rim, Reeves averaged a team-best 20.5 points per game for a 20-6 La Follette squad.
6. Noah Parcher – La Crosse Central
He’s not going to blow you away with size, speed, or athleticism, but Parcher is a quality floor general that gets the job done and makes winning plays. On a loaded Central team with three Division 1 prospects, Parcher contributed 11.7 points per game and was often a catalyst in crunch time. Division 3 and NAIA programs are showing interest here. Quincy, Winona State, Bemidji State, and UW-Stevens Point are some of the schools currently showing interest in Parcher.
7. Jaden Kreklow – New Glarus
The state tournament was Kreklow’s coming out party and probably signified that we have him ranked too low at the moment. Leading New Glarus to the Division 4 state championship, Kreklow was phenomenal in two games at the Kohl Center. A crafty, skilled floor general that gets the most out of his talent and has complete control over the game, Kreklow posted 22.2 points and nearly four assists per game as a senior. Kreklow should probably start being prioritized by WIAC schools, if he’s not already.
8. Lucas Stieber – Green Bay Southwest
Stieber is in contact with UW-La Crosse and St. Norbert’s. While he’s No. 8 on this list, Stieber has upside that you could argue him being as high as third. A flashy, 6-foot-2 point guard with tremendous vision and passing ability, Stieber is one of the most creative facilitators in the state. He may not score a ton of points, but racked up a ton of assists during his career at Green Bay Southwest.
9. Marquise Milton – Racine Horlick
Milton doesn’t have ideal size, but put up huge numbers during his career. Averaging 26.6 points per game last season, Milton led Racine Horlick to one of the biggest upsets in the playoffs, knocking off top seed Madison East. At this time, Milton is picking up a lot of JUCO interest from the likes of Highland (Ill.), Kirkwood, Highland (Kan.), and Central Arizona College.
10. Jacob Vonderwell – Franklin
All this kid did at Franklin the last two years was win a combined 43 games. One of the top facilitators in the state, Vonderwell has a knack for elevating players around him. As a junior, he averaged 7.6 assists per game. Upping his scoring average to shy of 10 ppg, Vonderwell still managed to dish out nearly seven dimes per contest in 2018-19.
Others: Montae Thompson (Madison East), A.J. Makinen (Muskego), Will DeNoyer (Lakeside Lutheran)
