Newman: So high school season is just done, what does it mean to get a win in your first club tournament back?
Youngkrantz: It really just feels good to pick up the W right away. It’s hopefully going to mean some momentum for all of us for upcoming games and tournaments.
What was the biggest lesson you took away from this high school season with Cactus Shadows?
I learned a lot about how conditioned you need to be. There’s so many games, and so many teams play at a high level, so I just have to keep getting in even better shape. It’s a lot of work but pays off.
What do you think AZ Wild is capable of this year?
I think if we play like we did today, especially on defense, we can be really solid. We have some good guys at every position, so I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.
What’s your personal goal this offseason?
I just want to keep getting better at every aspect of my game. And, like I mentioned before, keep getting even better in conditioning so I’m ready once high school season comes around again.
What do you think you add to this team?
I just try to do the little things like set screens, rebound, and make the right plays. We’ve got plenty of talented guys, so I want to keep doing better and just do my part.
