Dadrion Taylor 2019 Carl Albert wing
Dadrion Taylor, also a star running back for the State Championship-winning Titans, was a great rebounder, among other things, at the Titan Classic. Taylor has a high motor, athleticism, and strength to overpower opposing players under the goal. He has good ball skills as well, making him a hawk for catching boards.
Antonio Gordon 2019 Lawton Ike wing/forward
Antonio Gordon’s ability to keep the ball away from opposing players through his rebounding is an impressive and dominant trait that Lawton Ike benefits heavily from. Especially in the consolation game against Santa Fe South, Gordon got rebounds at a high rate on both ends of the floor; defensive rebounds kept the Saints’ offense at bay while offensive rebounds allowed breathing room to keep the Eagles ahead.
Mark Berry 2019 Lawton Ike forward
Mark Berry was a beast for the Eagles over the weekend in the rebounding game. Berry helps to keep opposing teams from catching a break by keeping the ball in Lawton Ike hands. The 6-foot-6 forward is a strong, smart player who puts hisself into great rebounding position on every missed shot. He is a competitive guy, so it’s going to be hard to beat him on the boards.
Matthew Bayliff 2019 Santa Fe South center
Matthew Bayliff, a 6-foot-8 post for Santa Fe South is a guy who deserves more recognition for his size and strength. Santa Fe South benefits from his competitive play and ability to just outsize opposing players when it comes to getting rebounds. Having height is important, but when you add his positioning into the mix, it’s a challenge to outbound this guy.
