Among that field, I noticed quite a few players who could do some impressive things out of a dribble, creating shots and generating scoring unassisted. Here are four of those players who were the best creators at the Titan Classic:
Hunter Oden 2019 Piedmont guard
Hunter Oden was impressive over the weekend for the Wildcats in his off-the-dribble play. I was particularly impressed by his ability to stop on a dime and put up a shot from mid range and launch it before the defender could meet him. His pull-up jumper was on point.
Dylan Hahn 2019 Piedmont point guard
Dylan Hahn has been a dangerous scorer in his career with the Piedmont Wildcats but may not always receive the credit he deserves. Don’t worry Dylan; I see you. Dylan was a great shooter out of the dribble at the tournament and was very difficult to even limit, let alone stop altogether. He has a sniper to shoot with and is also a phenomenal passer, being named amongst the best floor generals.
Antonio Gordon 2019 Lawton Ike wing/forward
Senior Lawton Ike swingman and Kansas State signee Antonio Gordon was fabulous with the ball in his hands at the Titan Classic. Standing at 6-foot-10-inches, Gordon was one of the most versatile players on the floor. He used his dribble to get a shot at every level on the floor. As one of the most explosive athletes on the floor, Gordon had one of the most unique skill sets over the weekend.
Andrew Lewis 2020 OKC Storm wing
Andrew Lewis of the Oklahoma City Storm has the athletic capabilities to get his own shot from the dribble. Lewis is a fast, quick guy with great footwork and control with the ball. He can get his way into the lane to score at the rim or pull up to score from mid range. He was one of the most difficult-to-guard players at the Titan Classic.
