There are some athletes who are trending up, even as the rankings were released. We will take a look at some players in the class of 2021 who appear to be moving up the list.
Kobe Bufkin (6’2″, PG, Grand Rapids Christian)
Current Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #6
It’s tough to move up from an already high position, but Bufkin may do it. He’s definitely moving up on a national scale. Bufkin is a silky smooth lefty that is a true 3 level scorer. He has a dangerous jab step that creates space.
Omar Zeigler (6’5″, G, Detroit King)
Current Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #25
Zeigler was a monster during grassroots season. He uses his combination of size and athleticism to create buckets. Zeigler is strong on the glass as well. He has the size and skill set of a next level player. Zeigler should be on the map for Division 1 and Division 2 college coaches.
Kenjuan Andrews (6’1″, G, Old Redford)
Current Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #39
Andrews is, quite simply, tougher than most. He has the ball handling skills to create space, but when given the opportunity will go straight line drive to the hoop through contact. Andrews loves to be coached and is a solid kid to have on the roster.
Damon Terrell (6’4″, PF, Communication Arts and Media)
Current Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #40
Terrell is one of the most talented post prospects in tbe 2021 class. He has been an absolute beast during scrimmage season. Terrell has shown that he’s a high level rebounder, gaining position with good footwork and strength. Terrell has arrived and will be a must see player in the future.
Linden Holder (5’10”, PG, De La Salle)
Curreny Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #86
De La Salle has groomed a lot of good perimeter players lately, and Holder could be in that line. He’s steady with the ball in his hands and has a high basketball IQ. With continued development, could we see another Justin Fischer?
