In the past month he’s received two Division I offers and has a total of three to his name now.
“Ohio offered last weekend and I got an offer last month from Samford. And Missouri was the first to offer, they offered at the beginning of the high school season,” said Hollowell.
“I took and unofficial to Missouri, but that’s it so far. I took that visit early this year around the time they offered.”
Other high-major programs have been inquiring about the good-sized and talented point guard,
“Oklahoma and Florida State have sent a bunch of letters and stuff, and my dad said Notre Dame called recently,” said Hollowell, who was pretty general when discussing what he’ll be looking for in a college.
“I just want to find a good school to go to. I just want to find the right fit, that’s all.”
After a superb junior season with the Blazers, it’s plain to see why Hollowell is commanding so much attention.
He defined his playing style to PHK.
“I can score and I play defense. I think my scoring ability as a point guard is what is my best skill. Last season I averaged 26 points per game,” said the electric guard.
“I need to get better at limiting my turnovers and my decision-making though before I play at the next level.”
Hollowell will spend his summer playing with Hoop Dreams 17U in the adidas Gauntlet.
“I just like it because I can get more exposure and stuff like that. They just need me to be a leader and to get everybody else involved on the team,” said Hollowell.
“I’m just hoping to get some offers, and just try and get to a good school.”
