NC Backcourts to Watch!
Village Christian 2020 Zavian McLean & 2019 Travion McCray: Expect a lot of buckets from this duo right here, both averaged over 20 PPG last season and are looking to have even better seasons this year. What separates this group from many others is the amount of intensity they play with on both ends of the floor, this could very well be another special year for Village Christian. McCray holds multiple D1 offers at this point while Mclean has D1 interest which should turn into offers before much longer.
Trinity Christian 2019 DJ Horne, Talton Jones & KJ Marshall: This summer has been a breakout season for DJ Horne recruitment wise, he has picked up numerous offers and has shown what type of offensive weapon he can be. Talton Jones & KJ Marshall will return for their final season with Trinity and just like last season we expect to see some solid production from them on both sides of the ball.
New Life Christian 2020 Guard Reggie Walton & Phil Martin: This duo should fit together very well as they both bring different attributes to the court. Martin is a knock down shooter that will fill it up in a hurry if you aren’t careful, while Walton is more of a floor general that can score and bring energy. They have gotten plenty of time this spring and summer to play alongside each other so transitioning into the season should not be a problem at all.
Northwood Temple 2019 Josh Nickleberry, Jamahri Harvey & 2021 Emmanuel Sepulveda: Josh Nickelberry AKA The Louisville Commit will look to put up some major scoring numbers again this year but will be getting some help from some new transfers. Jamahri Harvey who is now class of 2020 will be in the building at Northwood Temple this year and has the type of talent and potential to go for 20 or 30 at any given moment. Last but not least is new transfer Guard Emmanuel Sepulveda, Emmanuel has been solid throughout the summer and spring with some breakout games coming during the late July period.
